Rabbi Levik and Mushkie Itkin

Rabbi Levi Itkin, was born in Scranton, PA, where his father is the Rabbi of the Chabad synagogue.  He grew up in a home known for its warmth and hospitality.  Levi studied in New York and Israel. He completed his Rabbinical degree at Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Brooklyn, NY. He received his Rabbinical degree by the Rabbi D. Yuroslavki, head of the Beth Din of Vaad Rabbanei Chabad of Eretz Hakodesh. He spent a year teaching the Jewish students in Rostov, Russia.

Growing up on the front lines of Shlichus, he had only one dream. One day he would be a Shliach and open his own Chabad house.  Friday's found him in Manhattan, where he would meet many unaffiliated Jews and talk to them about the beauty of our heritage.

Mrs. Mushkie Itkin grew up in the Crown Heights Jewish community in Brooklyn NY, USA, home of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and the world headquarters of Chabad Lubavitch.  She was educated in the Bais Rivka High School and furthered her studies at BC Teachers Seminary in Israel. She then spent a year working for BCHS of California as an extra-curricular program coordinator.  She spent many summers coordinating and directing programs for children at the Chabad overnight camp in Val-David, Quebec.  Her warm and caring character is apparent after a short encounter with her and she always has a way of making everyone feel comfortable and welcomed.

Ever since they were married, they began setting the groundwork to build a most vibrant Jewish community in Nun's Island. With their warm smiles and non-judgmental character they will visit many homes and celebrate the Jewish Holidays with the community. Together with their sons Mendel (born Oct. 2009) and Yisroel (born Oct. 2010), Sima (born Apr. 2012), Zalman (born May 2013), Elchonon (born July 2015), Shaina (born June 2017) Mordechai (born January 2020) Rachel (August 2022) the Itkin's form a most powerful team that will bring warmth and happiness to  friends, families, and the community around them.
